WandaVision Composer Teases Marvel Return for Hawkeye's Disney+ Series
With a handful of MCU trailers having been released over the last few weeks, fans have a wealth of exciting content to look forward to as 2021 comes to an end. The most recent of these trailers was the first look at Jeremy Renner's Hawkeye, which will be the veteran's first headlining appearance in the MCU.
Coming as the MCU's second Christmas-centered project after 2013's Iron Man 3, Clint Barton is set to take on a challenging new adventure while simply trying to spend more time with his family in a post-Avengers: Endgame world. Drawn back into his past, he will also take on a new role as a mentor upon meeting Hailee Steinfeld's up-and-coming Kate Bishop.
The show's first trailer helped set the yuletide tone in a big way with "It's The Most Wonderful Time Of The Year" playing over footage of Hawkeye getting back into the hero game. As for the show's musical score, recent online activity is teasing an MCU regular likely returning for more work on Disney+.
Christophe Beck Eyeing an MCU Return?
Musical composer Christophe Beck took to Instagram to share the recently released first trailer for Marvel Studios' Hawkeye, which will stream on Disney+ starting on November 24. Beck included a "praying" emoji in his post caption, seemingly indicating that he will be involved with the composition of the series' score.
Beck has an extensive history with the MCU, serving as the composer for both 2015's Ant-Man and 2018's Ant-Man and the Wasp. He also created the score for 2021's WandaVision on Disney+ and hinted towards a return on 2023's Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania.
Beck Becoming An MCU Regular
The MCU has certainly built up a cache of regulars in the composing department, such as Alan Silvestri on three of the four Avengers movies and Michael Giacchino on Doctor Strange and all three Spider-Man movies. It appears that Beck is joining that same class with MCU entries in Phases 2, 3, and now 4.
Bringing a fun and memorable score for both Ant-Man movies and fitting his music seamlessly into WandaVision, Beck should have the opportunity to give Clint Barton the great musical score that he deserves, being one of the longest-tenured Avengers. Not having a theme tied to him from the past ten years, this series will hopefully take the chance to change that fact.
Although this post isn't an official confirmation that Beck is coming back, fans will be paying attention to future reports and releases potentially confirming a reunion between him and Marvel Studios.
Hawkeye is set to release on Disney+ on November 24.
