WandaVision Star Already Committed to Season 2 If It Happens

Given how extremely popular the MCU is, it should come as no surprise that every Disney+ series to come out of the cinematic universe so far has proven hugely successful.

Both The Falcon and the Winter Soldier and Loki garnered great attention across the fandom, but no series has yet topped the fan chatter that surrounded WandaVision.

Across all nine weeks, viewers built up plenty of wild theories from the identity of Monica Rambeau's aerospace engineer friend to the potential arrival of Marvel's devilish villain Mephisto. Sadly, almost none of these crazy ideas paid off in the finale, which lead to some disappointment; nonetheless, the series remains highly regarded among most fans. 

With WandaVision marketed from the beginning as a limited series, it seems as if hopes of a second season may be dashed. However, one Marvel star remains hopeful to return if Season 2 were to be made. 

WandaVision Actor Shares Interest in Season 2

During a recent interview with Entertainment Tonight, Vision actor Paul Bettany shared his interest in reprising his heroic role in a second season of WandaVision on Disney+.

Sadly, Bettany did cast doubt on hopes of a potential follow-up as they insisted “[they're] here for a limited series” only:

“Well, we're here for a limited series, so I don't think so.”

However, the actor assured fans he is “already in” if a second season were to be made down the line:

“I'm already in. If it's there, I'm in.”

Will WandaVision Season 2 Ever Happen?

Unfortunately, WandaVision was previously marketed as a limited series, meaning only one season was ever intended to release. Since the series finale put an end to Wanda's sitcom reality, the chances of a follow-up under the same concept are rather slim.

However, the number of plot threads left open by the climactic finale, on top of the viral popularity of WandaVision, could lead to a Disney+ series starring Wanda and Vision under a new title with a more traditional MCU concept.

Paul Bettany's robotic Avenger was left in a particularly interesting place following the conclusion of WandaVision as his original version remains deceased thanks to Thanos while the military-built White Vision roams the world.

Granted, Marvel Studios may opt to continue these stories across other future projects including Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. But since making her solo debut in WandaVision, Elizabeth Olsen's Scarlet Witch has garnered great popularity among fans, making another standalone outing near certain.

Although, if the studio really isn't interested in continuing Wanda's story on Disney+, perhaps a jump to the big screen could be a fitting way to match her extreme jump in affection within the fandom.

Perhaps WandaVision fans may hear some promising news during November's Disney+ Day. For now, all nine episodes of the limited series are streaming on Disney+.
