Elizabeth Olsen's Scarlet Witch Uses Chaos Magic on New Official WandaVision Poster
Marvel Studios is looking forward to major blockbuster events at the end of 2021 that will add thrilling new chapters to the MCU in its efforts after Avengers: Endgame. Jeremy Renner and Hailee Steinfeld are next up as they bring their master archery skills into play in Disney+'s Hawkeye before Tom Holland, Benedict Cumberbatch, and more break the comic book movie world with Spider-Man: No Way Home.
Before all of this, however, fans have an exciting event to look forward to with Disney+ Day on November 12, which marks two full years since the streaming service first debuted.
Marvel has utilized Disney+ to great effect since the start of 2021, bringing four thrilling MCU properties exclusively as weekly releases that are adding to the franchise's ever-growing narrative. Kicking off the year with a wacky outing in WandaVison and, most recently, dipping into animation for the first time with What If...?, Disney+ is allowing the MCU to tell stories in ways never thought possible before.
Disney+ Day is set to not only tease fans about what's coming to the MCU next year but also pay tribute to what's already made its way to the small screen. In that same light, Disney is looking to its premiere theme park to help with promotion for this event.
Scarlet Witch and Hawkeye in the Spotlight
Via the @ParksAndCons' Twitter page, Disneyland is now displaying posters featuring Elizabeth Olsen's Scarlet Witch from WandaVision and the combination of Jeremy Renner, Hailee Steinfeld, and Lucky the Pizza Dog from Hawkeye on the brick building that formerly housed the resort's ESPN Zone.
Olsen is shown in her full Scarlet Witch outfit that made its debut during the climax of WandaVision's finale. This is one of the first pieces of official promo material showing Scarlet Witch using her magic in her new costume, which will likely make a return in 2022's Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness.
The poster for Hawkeye featured both Clint Barton and Kate Bishop in the show's snowy Christmas NYC setting, complete with a look at the golden retriever Lucky the Pizza Dog as well.
Scarlet Witch and Hawkeye - Only on Disney+
Wanda Maximoff has quickly become one of the most important players in all of Phase 4, especially after her nine-episode run in Marvel Studios' WandaVision kicked off the year and the new MCU era. Her new costume from Episode 9 helped to complete her transformation into the Scarlet Witch, giving just a tease of her immense power and setting her up for major moves in the immediate future.
Obviously, this suit came as the big reveal in Episode 9 during the Scarlet Witch's fight with Agatha Harkness as she realized her full potential as a superhero in Westview. The new costume appears to be her new iconic superhero look after years of switching red-based outfits, and it's one that's already become insanely popular amongst the MCU fanbase.
As for Hawkeye, it makes sense for Disney+ to promote this show heavily on Disney+ Day with it being only less than a couple of weeks until the show's first two episodes premiere. Clint Barton is all geared up for his first MCU solo project after a decade of supporting roles, and the series will also help introduce Kate Bishop as an important piece of the MCU's future.
No matter what specifically comes on Disney+ day, Marvel Studios will make its presence known with both its recently released material and plans for what's coming.
WandaVision is available to stream on Disney+, and Hawkeye is set to make its debut on November 24.
