How Long Is Disney+’s Hawkeye? Episodes 1 & 2 Runtimes Revealed
It's been a while since fans have had a Marvel Studios Disney+ series to look forward to. The most recent streaming project was What If...?, an animated venture that explored the concept of the Multiverse from the eyes of The Watcher.
Now, it's time for the audiences to take a step away from all that Multiversal madness, and come back down to Earth; more specifically to the streets of New York City at Christmastime.
Debuting on November 24, Hawkeye's six-episode run will feature Jeremy Renner's Clint Barton as he meets Hailee Steinfeld's Kate Bishop––with the two getting entangled in quite the mess.
Reactions to the show have just recently gone live on social media, and critics seem to be really digging it. One of the most commonly praised elements is Steinfeld and her new hero, someone many already predict will be a new favorite among fans.
Among those reactions, details were revealed about the runtime of Episodes 1 and 2.
How Many Minutes Are Hawkeye's Premiere Episodes?
Steven Weintraub from Collider has revealed how long the opening two episodes of Marvel Studios' Hawkeye Disney+ series is.
According to Weintraub, the premiere is 47 minutes, while the second episode is 49 minutes.
The movie pundit also noted how "[he] can't wait for everyone to see the Rogers The Musical stuff:"
"Also I cannot wait for everyone to see the Rogers The Musical stuff so we can talk about it. Think the first episode was 45 or 47 min and second episode was 49. Something like that."
When it comes to comparison between Hawkeye and Marvel's other hour-long dramas, The Falcon and the Winter Soldier's first two episodes were 49 and 50 minutes, while Loki's opening two episodes were 51 and 54 minutes.
Hawkeye Aims for a Modest Opening
The length of Hawkeye's opening installments seems fairly standard for what Marvel Studios has given fans so far. Though, as has been noted multiple times over the year, a good five minutes of that runtime are likely credits.
There's not much that can be taken away from knowing how long the episodes are, besides being able to precisely put aside the right amount of time to watch them. A 30-minute tale could have just as much important storytelling as one that's over an hour-long––it's not the length, it's how you use it.
The show's arrival is just under two weeks away, with both of these first episodes debuting together on November 24. With the critics seeming to love it, fans could be in for a refreshing change of pace as they watch our heroes take on simple, organized crime instead of galaxy-sized Celestials.
