Spider-Man: No Way Home: Andrew Garfield Changes Tune on Appearance Rumors: 'We'll See'
As 2021 moves closer to its ending, Marvel Studios and Sony Pictures' Spider-Man: No Way Home continues to dominate the news streams. Having been built up all year as potentially the biggest solo superhero movie in history, it only makes sense that it will be at the center of nearly every MCU discussion over the next few weeks before its release.
As was teased by the film's first trailer in late August, Peter Parker will be on the most intense journey of his life after Doctor Stephen Strange's spell to help fix his life goes completely awry. While plenty of this has to do with confirmed appearances from past Spidey villains like the Green Goblin and Doctor Octopus, that's only the start of the Multiversal madness.
With at least five villains making their way from Sam Raimi and Marc Webb's movies into the MCU, rumors have consistently spoken about Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield's Spider-Men helping out Tom Holland's MCU hero defeat them.
Most recently, Garfield kept that fire going with only two words after a fan asked him about the matter.
Is Andrew Garfield Actually In Spider-Man: No Way Home?
Via Twitter user @spideyupdated, Andrew Garfield teased the possibility of returning to play Spider-Man in Marvel and Sony's Spider-Man: No Way Home at the premiere of his latest movie, Tick Tick Boom.
After a fan expressed their hope that Garfield will be in the new movie, Garfield simply responded with, "We'll see, man."

Garfield Not Denying Spider-Man Return
Andrew Garfield has spent the better part of 2021 answering one question after another about his comeback as Spider-Man after rumors first came to light about the matter in late 2020. From debunking potentially photoshopped images of himself to flat out denying that he will be in the movie, the British star hasn't been able to escape conversations about the biggest MCU project in quite some time.
As fans wait anxiously for the second full trailer for Spider-Man: No Way Home, chatter about Garfield's return is only going to increase dramatically with the movie's release inching closer.
Most recently, it was rumored that the delays concerning that second trailer were potentially due to arguments between Marvel and Sony over whether to include Garfield and Maguire in official footage or to save it for the release. This comes on top of leaked images showing all three web-slingers side-by-side, although there is no way to tell whether those pictures are truly from No Way Home.
No matter what ends up happening with Garfield, No Way Home has already built seemingly more hype than every other MCU Phase 4 project combined over the course of 2021. The threequel is set to make tidal waves both in-universe and through the fandom, and with only five weeks until it hits theaters, that hype won't be slowing down for one moment.
Spider-Man: No Way Home will swing into theaters on December 17, 2021.
