Obi-Wan Kenobi Disney+: Concept Art Reveals Stunning New Characters & Locations

Ewan McGregor as Obi-Wan Kenobi, Concept Art Disney Plus

Many Star Wars fans see Obi-Wan Kenobi as one of the most anticipated projects under the Lucasfilm banner.

The series is directed by The Mandalorian's Deborah Chow, and it will showcase the return of Ewan McGregor's fan-favorite Jedi Master from the Skywalker Saga's prequel trilogy. McGregor will be joined by a stellar cast led by the returning Hayden Christensen, who will portray Darth Vader in the series, along with Kumail Nanjiani, Moses Ingram, Sung Kang, and many more A-list stars.

Plot details are still being kept under wraps, but several details have already been confirmed. For starters, Obi-Wan Kenobi is set 10 years after the tragic events of Episode III: Revenge of the Sith, and it will feature the long-awaited rematch between the titular Jedi and Darth Vader.

Marketing has yet to begin for the Star Wars series, but it seems that this will all change due to the arrival of a special video.

Obi-Wan Kenobi Concept Art Revealed

Update: The video has been completely removed from YouTube.

Ahead of Disney+ Day, a Disney+ Hotstar channel unveiled a special featurette for Obi-Wan Kenobi, showcasing a fresh look at the Ewan McGregor-led series.

It's worth pointing out that this is the sizzle reel that was presented during Disney Investor Day in 2020. Several pieces of concept art were shown in the video, including first looks at Inquisitors, new planets, and the Empire.

McGregor's Jedi Master, in his older-looking self, can be seen riding an Eopie in the sands of Tatooine.

A closer look at what appears to be a Rebel base was also revealed.

Concept art of a new underworld location that is set to be explored in the series was also unveiled.

The first look at a new planet that Obi-Wan and his allies could explore in the series was also highlighted in the featurette.

Obi-Wan's Upcoming Galactic Adventure

This new batch of concept art for Obi-Wan Kenobi provides an impressive preview of what lies ahead for the upcoming Star Wars series.

Ewan McGregor's updated look is showcased in the concept art, and it aligns with the show's place in the Skywalker Saga's timeline. It seems that the series will first explore what the Jedi Master has been up to all these years, potentially showing viewers his day-to-day life on Tatooine.

Given that a Rebel base was also featured, it appears that Obi-Wan will likely pay a visit to his allies to learn how they are planning to stop the Empire's reign over the galaxy. That said, there's a chance that familiar faces from the prequel trilogy could be seen as well.

From new planets to never-before-seen underworld locations, it's safe to say that Obi-Wan will head out of Tatooine in the series to potentially lure Darth Vader away from Luke Skywalker. The presence of the Empire also looms large, and it looks like a substantial amount of screen time will be dedicated to Vader and his allies in the series.

The Inquisitor in the concept art appears to resemble the Second Sister from Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order. It's possible that this could be a placeholder image for the series, but there's also a chance that Trilla Suduri, the real name of the Inquisitor, could make her live-action debut in Obi-Wan Kenobi.

Whatever the case, signs point that more fresh looks at Obi-Wan Kenobi will be unveiled during Disney+ Day on November 12, 2021.
